- Sep 01 - Memphis Hadassah & the Baron Hirsch Sisterhood Event
Memphis Hadassah & the Baron Hirsch Sisterhood join together for their opening meeting. Rabbis Shai Finkelstein and Micah Greenstein will speak on “The Healthy Soul, Just in Time for Rosh Hashanah”. Program begins at 6:30PM with silent auction and refreshments, with the meeting beginning at 7:15PM. Token gifts from Israel to be given to the first 70 people who attend. 6:00PM in the IE Hanover Library. A monthly program welcoming Shabbat with song & stories for children ages 3-6 and their families. Led by Yael & Emanuel Elstein. Join us for the first Tot Shabbat, Friday, September 3rd.
- Sep 05 - Rosh Hashanah Chesed Boxes Packing
9:30AM at Baron Hirsch. Help us packed food boxes, a great way to start off the holidays. Your donations to help support this project are greatly appreciated.
- Sep 25 - Sukkah Hop & Treasure Hunt
For ages 9 – 13, enjoy a challenging Sukkah Treasure Hunt throughout the neighborhood with great prizes. Meet in the Baron Hirsch Sukkah at 4:00PM
For ages 3 – 8, there will be a Sukkah Hop with songs, stories and treats led by Yael & Emanuel Elstein. Meet in the Baron Hirsch Sukkah at 4:15PM.
- Sep 25 - Teen Divrei Torah
5:45PM at Baron Hirsch. Building on the success of a program we began on Shavuot, we will once again be treated to a series of brief Divrei Torah by our teens. Teens who wish to participate should contact Rabbi Finkelstein or the Elsteins. We urge everyone to come and share our pride in the accomplishments of our teens.
- Sep 27 - Sources: The Jewish History Book Club
8:00PM. The group will meet in Ellen & Ellis Tavin’s Sukkah for dessert and discussion. Josh Thomas will lead the discussion of The Itinerary of Benjamin of Tudela and Pathway to Jerusalem: The Travel Letters of Rabbi Ovadiah of Bartenura. Limited copies are now available for purchase in the shul office.
- Sep 27 - Kever Avot Memorial Services
10:00AM at the Baron Hirsch Cemetery. It is traditional to visit the graces of loved ones during the Days of Awe. Our Rabbi and Cantor will lead memorial services at the Baron Hirsch Cemetery. For those visiting the cemetery, please remember that you must enter the code 3636 at the gate to enter.
- Sep 27 - Family Sukkah Party
5:30PM at Baron Hirsch. Celebrate the festival of joy in and around the Baron Hirsch Sukkah. Food, live music, rides, balloons, and fun for everyone, just $10 per person, children under 4 are free. There is always something new at the Baron Hirsch Sukkah Party.
- Sep 28 - Baron Hirsch Sisterhood for Salad in the Sukkah
Noon at Baron Hirsch. All ladies in the congregation are invited to join us for a salad bar lunch, fun program and musical entertainment. The cost is just $8 per person. RSVP by September 21st to the shul office, 683-7485. To help with this project, contact Madelyne Daneman, Sisterhood President at 754-1332.

1:00PM at Putt Putt Golf & Games. Enjoy Putt Putt, Go-Karts, Batting range, bumper boats and other rides, games and refreshments for just $13 per person.
